The luxury footwear brandCecile Zaffirowas born in 2024 from the artistic vision and passion for design of Noemi Montanaro, inspired and trained by one of the masters of Italian footwear Ernesto Esposito.
The story of this project finds its roots in an encounter ten years ago, when Ernesto Esposito discovered Noemi as a contemporary artist.
At the time, Noemi Montanaro was already an emerging figure in the world of contemporary art, recognized for her innovative and visionary approach that explored themes of seduction and feminine vanity.
Ernesto Esposito, not only a master shoemaker but also an avid collector of contemporary art with works by Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, Helmut Newton, and other great artists was struck by Noemi’s creative genius.
He decided to support her by curating some of her personal and international exhibitions.
From this collaboration, a sincere friendship and creative synergy were born, leading Noemi to join Esposito’s close-knit creative team, working alongside him.
During this journey, Noemi honed her focus on forms, concepts, and expressions of contemporary art a sensitivity that over time evolved into a profound passion for footwear.
A devoted consumer of luxury shoes, Noemi began to see them as wearable works of art, a way to combine the beauty of structure with the functionality of design.
This fusion of art and design sparked the desire to create footwear that transcends the idea of a mere accessory to become true works of art. A pivotal figure in this creative journey was Marcello Capalbo, a designer trained under the guidance of Ernesto Esposito, who collaborated on the creation of
unique and innovative models for Cecile Zaffiro, keeping the creative legacy of
the master alive.
